I knew #erlang virtual machine (BEAM) could run on single-board computers (e.g. nerves project). Learned just now that there are BEAM or BEAM subset support projects being developed for mid-end microcontrollers (grisp.org) and lower-end devices like the #ESP32 (AtomVM) (!!). So many ways this is cool, but makes me excited to dust off that low-endpoint cost LoRa #meshnets project I've had on slow burn for a while...
Short list of some great #P2P projects
Why? Because it's the surefire way to prevent #censorship of any and all forms. Plus, they're very easy to set up (i.e. install and run) so everyone can quickly get inside and contribute to the network.
- #Tox
- GNU #Jami
- #Ricochet (clever use of a tor hidden service)
- #BitMessage
- #ZeroNet
- #i2p
- #ZipCall (video calls from your browser)
- #MeshNets (closest thing to a "p2p internet")
What else would you add?
