I just read this in the METAFONTbook's preface. #METAFONT was created by Donald Knuth, and was one of the first computer tools to create vectorial fonts.
But this quote is still relevant today.
Mastodon administrators, for instance, must be quite skilled with computers.
But they also need a good deal of political and social skills to deal with moderation.
