Back in '91, I was working at a sandwich shop and next door was a music store. On occasion, I'd trade sammiches for tapes with one of the dudes next door. On one such occasion I came across Prong's "Prove You Wrong" album, with its cool Pushead sculpture on the cover. I hadn't heard of them but this promised something good, something metal. I'm a metal fan and I adore metal covers of pop songs. They are often better. And then I found one. There are a few covers of Euphoria, Eurovision winner 2012....and they're just awful. The perfect pop song can't be made metal and now I'm sad.

Don't get me wrong, I love the original, it's honestly one of the best songs from Eurovision, but I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't translate well to the metal genre.

Oh well.
