Let me just start with admitting that I used a hex editor on my save file to boost my health to... many times the normal value... so I could actually defeat the final boss.
That said, with some perseverance I *did* manage to deal with all the other difficult boss battles scattered throughout the game.
It's an absolutely lovely #Metroidvania about a cool girl who has traveled to a living castle to break a curse that killed her parents.

1) Added text notifications to some rooms in Hel's Fighters. I might have to relocate the prompt, as it obscures the docks outside the arenas.
2) Modified a few more backgrounds. This one is Bedrock, deep underground.

It manages to guide the player so well through level design, but still always requires and rewards thorough exploration.
So you have to really engage with the world, and that in turn makes the atmosphere so much stronger. (+ the awesome music)
Such good design, it must have been mind-blowing for people who played it back in 94

1) Added text notifications when entering an area on the map. Currently this will be active on the Campaign and Rebel Ops.
2) I have plans to also rework the objective markers to make it easier to navigate the world.
