I go by thebrassthief and I'm into competitive #videogames, right now #fightinggames and #RocketLeague, I watch a ton of #esports, and I really enjoy #roguelikes and #Metroidvanias. I'm also into weird guitar #music like #drone, #doom, #stoner, #black, and then a bunch of other random genres like #ambient, #prog, #hiphop, and #house. I like to think I'm technologically mindful so I don't have regular social media and I'm interested in better privacy on the internet.

Alright, I've been putting off my #introduction long enough but I want to start Posting.

I'm bool! I'm in Germany! I'm a #webdev by trade but I won't post too much about code I promise.

Since I'm a huge fan of #metroidvanias and it was just added to #GamePass, I've checked out #FIST Forged in Shadow Torch, and I'm loving it. The setup is super cool and the combat feels great.

Two very good, occasionally very difficult, and also very funny metroidvanias are currently free on the Epic Games Store and if you have any interest in the genre, you should absolutely download them. [Unless, you already own them. In which case, well done.] #Guacamelee #Guacamelee2 #metroidvanias

After watching some gameplay videos for #NineSouls and #Crowsworn, the more I want for #HollowKnight-like #metroidvanias to become a subgenre of its own: High quality MVs, hand-drawn style, with tight combat mechanics. 🥰

For me it’s #SoulsLikes and #RogueLikes, every time I try one I bounce off pretty quickly. I suppose you could add #Metroidvanias too.

I don't know if #castlevania and #megadrive / #genesis fans have seen but there's a guy who has been remaking #SymphonyOfTheNight for the genesis and it's like insanely cool.
