On a more serious note, welcome to this new project!

For some background information, I basically need/want an excuse to get out and about and discover every corner of this great city I now get to call home. You can expect new content every week or so, time permitting. There are many stations I've already had the pleasure of visiting - these will get their own post in due course, but for now they will be marked off on the map (to be made up soon).

You can also expect related content, like exploring some of Melbourne's tram and bus termini and interchanges, and other bits and pieces, like project updates and the like, as more level crossings are removed and new stations opened.

Lilydale train stopped at Laburnum. PA just said 25 minutes delay due to a police request.
On Monday my Balgrave train due to arrive at Ringwood Station 6²⁵pm got delayed on the tracks 400 m from platform for 70 minutes...
This morning 10 minutes stuck on Coburg station...

What would happen if we prohibited food on public transport in #Melbourne ?

How much cleaner would the busses and trains be? If people secretly ate, we would hide the fact and evidence of it. How much less annoyed would people be if their seats didn't have rubbish unattended? (Which is also already prohibited)

I suspect we would at least hide the fact of eating by taking our rubbish with us
