Yambaó (also known as Cry of the Bewitched) is a 1957 Cuban/Mexican voodoo witchcraft horror musical melodrama, which has to be one of the rarest of all cult movie sub-genres!

Well-made and surprisingly subtle. An oddity, but an oddity well worth seeking out.

Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary(1975) follows the adventures in Mexico of an American girl named Mary. Her van has broken down in a storm, she takes shelter in a big abandoned house and meets Ben. They’re both drifters.

Then we get a flashback that tells us a bit more about Mary. She’s a successful painter. And oh yes, she’s just killed a guy and then she drank his blood.

Great Mexican horror.
