Some very good news on Robin Frijns. He has been discharged from hospital and wil ltravel home to continue his recovery.

"Can’t thank everyone enough for their amazing support I received. especially to Dr. Max who operated me on my hand & wrist. The whole team at Hospital Angeles Acoxpa was there for me from the very start till the very end when I was leaving. It’s these people that are the real heroes of this world," wrote Frijns on Instagram.

ABT Motorsport driver Robin Frijns posted an update on social media following his crash at the Mexico City E-Prix last Saturday. Frijns remains in hospital in Mexico City and successfully underwent a 5 hour surgery to repair his left hand and wrist, which were confirmed to be fractured in several places. He will fly home soon to continue his recovery.

If anyone is interested - the advantages are: full race will always be less than an hour. The Mario Cart element is a section of track to drive over for a temporary boost. There’s usually low impact bumping/shunting each other, but the cars are also able to handle it. Some cars may not make the end if they miscalculate their remaining battery. A pretty straightforward race by Formula E standards, but Mexico City had its fair share of incidents. Abt Cupra's Robin Frijns fractured his left hand after a heavy crash with Norman Nato. Jaguar Racing's Sam Bird suffered a driveshaft failure early in the race, and Edoardo Mortara crashed into the T2 barriers after heavy lock-up during braking.

Avalanche Andretti's Jake Dennis took the first victory of the Formula E season & first in the Gen3 era with a dominant performance at the Mexico City E-Prix.

A good day for Porsche FE as well with Pascal Wehrlein finishing in 2nd. Both factory and both customer cars (Andretti) all finished in the points.

S3 Champion Lucas di Grassi, in his first race for Mahindra Racing, rounded out the podium in 3rd.
