Took the Kleeata on its first road trip up to Flagstaff, AZ. For a tiny car, it was quite comfortable and I was able to fit 4 days worth of stuff. I got massively sunburnt due to having the top down almost the entire time. #miata #flagstaff

Apparently 98 degrees is TOO hot to have the top down on the #miata.

#Miata is always the answer.

Dash on the #Miata has been very 'creaky' lately. Pulled the glovebox and found at least 2, probably 3, plastic pegs cracked. These go into metal tabs and hold the dash tight.

By pressing on the dash, isolated the creaking to a snapped peg rubbing along the split. It split close to the dash top. Tried a square of rubber, what I had around - found a thickish felt furniture slide which worked best, wedged into the split.

Success! Silent dash.

For the past year or two, the #Miata has had the speaker surround off. The original surrounds are too small and the door speakers have enough excursion to touch them (as demonstrated on the pax speaker - it tore the surround on the stock grill).

Today's project has been to correct that a little bit.

There's also a kitted out #rustbucket of a #Daihatsu that someone has cut the back off to make it into a #ute

Rain cleared early morning, finished up the fuel system updates to the #Miata. Replaced the fuel pump with a 190LPH Walbro.

Went with the 190 over the 255 as it's on stock wires and I figured it'd be quieter. Also don't plan to need more. It is louder than stock, but I can't hear it when everything is buttoned up.

Had to trim the bell off the fuel supply line and throw some fuel hose on it, but otherwise fits right up, same connector.

test fit, #radium fuel rail, 1.6L, stock intake, damper and regulator with guage on.

ooo she is a tight one, but with the lifting lug removed and the ground relocated, rotating the wire loom - it does fit.

Little break ... then see if she leaks fuel everywhere!

Yesterday I decided to trade in the Q50 and got myself a brand new 2023 Mazda MX-5 Miata. A little sad to see the Q50 go, but... this thing, even in it's completely stock form, is so much fun. It really is like a street legal go-kart. #miata

Below 30mpg in an ND2 #Miata? Let’s just say I wasn’t stuck in traffic…

It was a fun drive.
