The Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory is in Belle Isle Park in Detroit, Michigan. We visited in October 2022, just before they closed the conservatory for major repairs (closed to sometime in early 2025?)

We were waiting for the sun to go down at Sunset Point at Presque Isle Park in Marquette, Michigan. I was happy to have this lone silhouette in the shot. Unlike the other people there, he was obviously stopping to appreciate the beauty of the moment.

This is the view from under the Mackinac Bridge. The "Mighty Mac" is a suspension bridge that links Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsula. It spans the Straits of Mackinac, a body of water that connects two of the Great Lakes - Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. The Bridge opened in 1957.

If you're ever driving on State Highway M-28 in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, you will see many roadside parks and places to pull over to enjoy the view of Lake Superior.

Sometimes, though, you'll see the sunlight glistening off the water on the opposite side of the road and the view is just as pretty. This location is Deer Lake Roadside Park honoring Ross M. Wolfe.
