This fog will keep us cool today, a high of 85 degrees. A hot day here. Over the hill and 20 minutes away will be 101 deg. Further inland, 107.

That great heat rises and pulls the cool, moist marine air from off the ocean, bringing us fog.

My 2¢ addition: in an urban 🌎 growing food is a way to reconnect, to #observe & interact with #nature directly. To see interconnected life, the #balance of #ecologies, to see #firsthand how #microclimates work. It is a lot harder to deny these mechanics on the #global scale when you are a part of them on the micro scale daily. Those #systemic ideas spill over into every other part of life, which CAN effect #poverty
