Spent some of my afternoon attempting to better implement #MicroFormat2 and schema.org #MicroData into my blog.

I think I've done a reasonable job (according to the various parsers I can check) but all in all it's just made my head hurt for no tangible benefit I can glean.

It shouldn't be this tricky right?

Question for any SEO's out there.
A CMS we're using has Organization schema using Microdata already. It is not allowing me to add anything to that or edit the theme to expand it.

I added another set of Organization structured data as JSON to add 4 more "sameAs" pages.

In the schema . org validator is shows up as 2 items.

Anyone done something like this before?

Does this work?

What do #weblite people think about #RDFa and #Microdata?

An observation:

When I used JSON+LD to generate Schema.org compliant metadata, the HTML structure didn't matter much. And could be rather sloppy.

However, as I'm switching to itemprop/itemscope attributes and maintaining Schema.org metadata, the structure became more important. And the semantics requirements became more evident. And there's likely less pre-publish processing.

Keeping meaning close to that which is describes helps clarify.
