Sing for my ears
Next across the Big Horn Mountains and back through Crazy Woman Canyon. Strangers had told me about it. It was worth the detour. But first came the wildflowers, singing silently in broad wind swept meadows.

Still sacred for its people
Not my place
Big Horn Medicine Wheel. It looks more impressive in person. I hoped to feel the energy but realized it wasn't my place. I was an outsider. I left a small offering though.

It's a towering crag
Goes up not down
Five Springs Falls Campground, on the edge of Big Horn National Forest, Wyoming. The camp is very vertical and lovely. I was on my way to Big Horn Medicine Wheel.
