Does anyone know of a tool or method to export an old Livejournal blog?

Some of my oldest journal entries are still hosted there and I’d really like to get them out before I can’t.

Currently the site only allows you to export one month of posts at a time and that doesn’t include comments.

I see a package on GitHub but I’m not a developer so that’s no good to me. Appreciate any tips.

Where do I find the token that is supposed to go in the Syndication links settings? I have looked on the Bridgy and Indieweb sites and can't find any information on how to actually find this.

Okay, I'm working on getting my #micropub server and #hugo website to connect each other, ran into an issue where a post was not getting rendered even though it was semantically correct. So to test the young gun on the block, I throw this issue, with details at #ChatGPT, and instead of doing something meaningful, threw some generic instructions at no use.

What was the problem? I wrongly added the UTC timezone to a timestamp in local timezone (yes, I'm using SQLite, so things get tricky).

If you have iOS or macOS (Monterey or later) and you use Shortcuts, this is a brilliant way to exploit the tools with Micropub:

I’m (very) slowly making progress on my personal #IndieWeb static site generating #CMS built in #Elixir. Sticking with the baked goods theme, it’s called Donut Shop. HEEx Templating engine is working with #Microformats. Most recent addition is a custom #Git LFS client so I can leverage #Netlify for my media CDN. It will replace the #Hugo site I have today so that I can post from any device via #Micropub. Maybe it will be done sometime in the next decade…

I love that #Micropub (via #Indiekit) provides a standard, open API to post to my own site and syndicate to services like Mastodon. But I think I’ve tried all the Micropub clients out there, and none is anywhere near as a nice as, for example, using @marsedit to post to WordPress. #indieweb could really use a killer app in the authoring tool space. #POSSE

When you are building a Micropub capability on your indieweb site and you have too many post types to add and too little time - which are the most important? 😀 I've kept it easy so far, replies and likes - basic social capabilities - but I'm excited to do something more creative with reviews, favourites or something to do with one of my hobbies. #indieweb #micropub

(mostly because I wanted to understand the mechanics of Micropub)

For auth + token, I didn't want to depend on 3rd party silos, so tried #SelfAuth and #MiniToken. Basic tests worked, but failed horribly with real-world #Micropub client, e.g. #Quill.
