Idaho National Laboratory has built a full-scale prototype for a microreactor project called MARVEL. The microreactor will generate 100 kilowatts of power using high-assay, low-enriched uranium. The project will test and demonstrate microreactor applications, such as renewable energy integration, water purification, and hydrogen production.
