Ich muss ja ganz ehrlich sagen, dass ich die Frotzeleien à la #Microsoft364 unpassend finde – die Zahl ist zu hoch. Immerhin soll mit der 365 ja der Eindruck erweckt werden, der Service stünde ganzjährig zur Verfügung. Das kann in diesem Jahr aber höchstens noch 340 Tage lang funktionieren.

This is an excellent article on the current state of mail. I haven't thrown in the towel yet, but am also forced to use some commercial sending API that's been blessed my the tech giants to allow sending mail from.
