Some of the arguments I've seen for contributing to #opensource while working for #microsoft with some of the biggest companies in the world:

- "if we want developers to use this product, it has to be open source"
- "[big customer] uses [OSS framework] so we have to make sure it has top flight support for the #microsoftcloud"
- "more than 90% of the cloud market is #Linux based; if our numbers don't match that it's because we're turning off Linux users with a poor experience."
