Got #Temtem through Humble Choice some time ago and apparently they have #MicroTransactions? A battlepass? FOR A 45 EURO GAME?! Like if you're gonna go down the live service route of "infinite value extraction" have some decency, make it a f2p pseudo-demo, lock the seasons behind dlc and be upfront about the fact that you're here to nickel and dime your fanbase. It's still dreadful and exploitative but at the very least that exploitation doesn't come with a 45 EURO BUY-IN

My son is devastated. I don't allow him to pay 50 quids on a Steam voucher. I wouldn't mind if he wants to buy games for it as it's his allowance which he saved.

However, he's gotten a new game last week. It's a tower defence game and he wants to pay 50 quids to get one tower for that game.

Seriously, if you market a game through Youtube streamers to children don't be a prick about pricing. It's bad enough that game balance is ruined by #microtransactions.

Can I just say #crypto #taxes are a nightmare in the US. For example, say you use #presearch and earn a few pre tokens throughout the year...if I'm understanding correctly the #IRS wants a detailed record of every transaction even though they are probably worth $0.01/ea.

Think also of #Blockchain games, folks earn little portions of tokens for various actions - it's essentially #microtransactions
