So I had a nightmare two nights ago that was really bad. I had not shared details with @tillybridges yet. And then we watched the first episode of #MidnightClub, & some extremely specific details from the pilot were in my nightmare! super cool, never sleeping again probably!

as we hit play on the pilot of #MidnightClub I said out loud to the tv, “fuck me up Mike Flanagan!” and the show did, and I’m here for it

Just started watching "Midnight Club" on Netflix last night. The one with the record-breaking number of jump scares? There's a reason for it. The more I kept thinking of the episode today, the more I laughed at it. It was intentionally supposed to be funny.

This is a huge bummer. Maybe Netflix canceling another show isn't so surprising these days, but The Midnight Club was really unique in the way it explored really dark themes and it's still sad to see it canceled before they get to finish the story.

At least Mike Flanagan kept his promise of making a tumblr post revealing where they planned to take things if the show didn't get a 2nd season:

I'm honestly fine with #MidnightClub getting "canceled," because I was pretty sure it was only gonna be one season anyway. The story wrapped up nicely, so why even mess with another season. It's fine. #MikeFlanagan can move onto other stories and people can just enjoy this single season story, like I intend to every Halloween. 👍

I know that there are a lot more things to focus on in the world right now, but is anyone else watching the #MidnightClub on #Netflix?

It might just be me, but I don't think it's very good, especially compared to the #Hauntingofhillhouse.
