Yesterday I received a notification that Midnight North was playing a small winery in Livermore, CA. Almost Famous Winery. The tix were reasonable so Bianca and I decided to go. What a cool intimate venue. Spirit Hustler opened.

Today’s listening is ‘Under The Lights’, the 2017 album by Midnight North.

This is an enjoyable album of up tempo country-rock style tunes, with great vocals from the terrific Elliott Peck and Grahame Lesh (who is the son of Phil Lesh from The Grateful Dead).

My favourite tracks are ‘Everyday’ and ‘Roamin’’.

Well worth a listen!

Yea, I miss that place too. Saw many shows there. One of my favorites shows was Joan Osborne singing Bob Dylan.

I saw Phil Play with Midnight North at Slims in San Francisco. We were watching the opening band and I looked to my left and Phil was standing right next to me. I just said hello and that was it. I didn’t want to bother him.
Kind of cool when that happens.
