Hasbro's entire problem as a corporation is that they can't wrap their tiny little brains around the fact that the D&D fandom and the D&D community are where their money comes from.

We're sitting here begging them to give us opportunities to give them our money and they're whining about us being obstacles to collecting their rent.

Fundamentally, Hasbro can never be trusted again because they can't make any promise more binding than the one they just broke.

Furthermore, we can never allow another company or another game system to control as much of the market as Hasbro does. Open D&D can't just be an open system, it has to be a diverse ecosystem of complementary approaches to #MidwesternFolkArt.

The language of the #OGL didn't matter because #Hasbro is arguing against facts and in bad faith.

The reason we're here today isn't because we all used Hasbro's OGL, it's because we all used Hasbro's SRD. We all wanted to play and support the Big Winner, until it decided to be the Only Player.

#OpenDND can't be a single company, and OpenD&D can't be a single system. Our monoculture D&D was ruined by blight and we need to start planting different strains of #MidwesternFolkArt to save the farm.
