A few years ago I discovered that one of our local libraries has a huge collection of comics available online through #Hoopla. Since the I've been catching up on all the comics I've missed.

I just finished reading the 2nd volume of Mike #Mignola's 4-volume #Hellboy Omnibus. The writing and artwork are both amazing. It's weird-science/Lovecraft/opera, profound and silly snd moving, and there's not a misstep or sour note anywhere.

Une des premières histoires en indépendant de Mike Mignola, on y retrouve déjà tout ce qui fera la spécificité de ce qu'il fera après sur Hellboy ou BPRD. Et si il n'était pas encore le dessinateur génie de l'ombrage que l'on connait, il laisse Pat Mc Eown illustrer cette histoire dans un style ligne clair la transformant en ce qui pourrait être une aventure de Tintin dans une des nouvels de Lovecraft.

La historia que da título al tomo, El asombroso cabeza de tornillo, es una maravilla propia del mejor Mignola. Divertida, evocadora y con un sentido de la maravilla que se sale de escala.
Los “otros objetos extraños” son añadidos para esta edición de 20 aniversario que van del "no está mal" al "joder, qué bueno".
En general es un tomo que encantará a los fans de Mignola y que además gracias a su gran formato es un tremendo disfrute visual.

I’d like to say I *planned* to drop Episode 3 of Heroic Beasts on Rocket Raccoon # 1 featuring Rocket’s girlfriend Lylla the Otter the same day they dropped the Guardians of the Galaxy 3 trailer that seems to be featuring her introduction to the #MCU, but that would be a lie. Fun co-incidence though!
