The #TransamericaPyramid opened 50 years ago today.
When I first moved to SF in the 90’s I got a temp job on the 42nd floor. Wild views on all sides!
Then, the company died- but we still had a few days there, doing not much.
We discovered that the windows pivoted open slightly to allow window washing.
Not open very far- but we could get our hands out with #paperairplanes !!It was hilarious, they would sail for a few blocks! One seemed to go all the way to the Embarcadero by the water. #mildcrime
