La #librairie S.W. Welch ferme définitivement ses portes après deux ans de sursis. La firme #ShillerLavy, qui se spécialise dans l'arnaque immobilière à grande échelle et qui a fait sa réputation en achetant une bonne partie du #MileEnd à #Montréal, avait tout d'abord augmenté son loyer de 2000$ à 5000$, avant de s'entendre avec le libraire: hausse moins élevé en échange de son départ deux ans plus tard.
Et voilà, ça fait deux ans. La librairie ferme.

I spend almost half of my life in this neighbourhood and have seen a tremendous amount of change over that time. There is clearly a lot of discontent over the soaring property values and rents, and the loss of spaces like Cagibi.
