Any MOND fans out there? A study published in the Astrophysical Journal, based on GAIA data from 26,000 nearby widely separated binary star pairs, agrees with Milgromian (AQUAL) dynamics to better than five sigma. The Phys.org summary linked below quotes Milgrom:
"...for such a far-reaching finding — and it is indeed very far reaching — we require confirmation by independent analyses, preferably with better future data."
And the study's sole author, Kyu-Hyun Chae, agrees, with more optimism:
"I foresee that the results will be confirmed and refined with better and larger data in the future."
Physicists: What other results does dark matter explain better than MOND, and how does this discovery affect those results, if at all?
