#MilitarySurplus stores are annoying. Maybe I’m weird but I’m mostly interested in actual military surplus. Ie. genuine issue #military equipment. Either actually issued or made by the same contractor to the same spec, and in the same country. I have almost no interest in the ‘military style’ made-somewhere repro stuff that dominates the market. Often it is poor quality, ugly and, most importantly, lacks any authentic story to the item. It’s often difficult or impossible to filter that out.
Working on an idea for our #holiday #luggage
Using a #militarySurplus kitbag / duffle bag (top opening, barrel shaped) plus a folding luggage cart.
We've had issues on recent trips where our one bag gets over-stuffed as we start our return. The kit bag would allow for expansion, and might be easier to stow on trains with the cart detached.
Two suitcases are a non-starter due to Mrs Mike's mobility. We generally have about 20kg in a (claimed) 64 litre soft #suitcase.
Any thoughts?
