"100 EASY-TO-GROW NATIVE PLANTS for Canadian gardeners" by Lorraine Johnson is one of my favourite gardening books. Butterfly milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa) is listed, and is so important for monarch caterpillars. But this #milkweed certainly has not been "easy-to-grow" for me, maybe due to my soil or improper care. I planted a swamp milkweed seedling (Asclepias incarnata) a couple of months ago, maybe I'll have better luck. #milkweedformonarchs
