#DidYouKnow: The #Rosette #Nebula (also known as Caldwell 49) is an H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the #MilkyWay #Galaxy.
A survey of the nebula with the Chandra X-ray Observatory has revealed the presence of approximately 2500 young stars inside optical Rosette Nebula and studded within a dense molecular cloud.

Only after refreshing my heart do I walk back inside, turn on the lights, and get my coffee. Settle down to catch up on news, do some writing.
Try it sometime. It's magnificent.

I spent a few days in Española, NM and on one evening where the skies finally cleared up, and no light pollution was present, I managed to get this shot of the night sky showing the Milky Way. My first attempt ever at astrophotography on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, and quite satisfied of my result! Originally I posted this on my Pixelfed.
