If you say Millennium to most #Norwich folk they think of the Forum…but actually we also have the #MillenniumFalcon hiding in our city p of Norwich housing estate that creates the outline of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars.

Not terribly happy with the outcome but at least it's reasonably complete. I couldn't find quite a few parts in the correct color and couldn't find the clear piece for the nose either. Makes me wonder if I'm forgetting a bin or two somewhere.

Good enough for now, at least.

Making progress on repair. I lucked out and found a small chunk still together in a bin, but had to hunt down most things piece by piece.

I found a model, loaded in LeoCAD, and picked it apart since the missing section didn't line up with the instructions.

I still have more of the cockpit interior to go, but not having luck finding the right parts yet. The good news is that I have it to a point where I can use the original instructions as a guide.

Many years ago my kid and I put this Millennium Falcon Lego set (7965) together. Some time later an incident occurred and part of the cockpit section came off and went missing. It's been on top of a bookshelf turned the other way since it still looked nice. I know the rest of the parts are here *somewhere* in various tubs of Lego bricks. The fun* part will be identifying the missing parts, locating them all, and reconstructing the model.

There’s a really beautiful Aurora Borealis event going on. I tried to capture some with my camera last night but missed the good stuff. Tonight it’s cloudy, so it’s over for me.
