That is, before reading Ruth Millikan's "Beyond Concepts" Iggy was a nominalist, but after, she took up a realist stance, in the sense Millikan articulates, "I am adopting a realist as opposed to a nominalist stance throughout, so properties and also kinds can be referents."

This will be seen as one of the defining books for 21st century #PhilosophyOfMind and language. It dovetails so well with Jeff #Hawkins "A Thousand Brains" theory. Hawkins' theory is especially relevant to #Millikan chapter 4 wherein #unitracker primitives (same-trackers) are discussed, and obviously §4.3 "Self-Relative Location Trackers" could be fleshed-out with Hawkins' ideas (egocentric-to-allocentric conversion, cortical column voting, solution to the binding problem, etc). Amazing.
