I've now reached Longwood Tower aka Longwood Stump.

While it looks like the remains of some defensive tower from long ago, or the base of a windmill perhaps, it's actually a folly from the mid 19th century: an excuse to pay out of work stonemasons - https://thefollyflaneuse.com/longwood-tower-huddersfield-west-yorkshire-a-stump-and-a-thump/

It has great views across #Milnsbridge. (And in the background of the first pic you can see #Huddersfield's most famous folly, the Victoria Tower on Castle Hill - which was once the site of an iron age fort.)
