🥳 Today is the anniversary of the liberation of #Minbij!

➡️ On 15.8.2016, our #YPJ/#YPG/#SDF forces liberated Minbij from #ISIS
➡️This marked the end of more than 2 and a half years of rule of the #IslamicState
➡️ Women who were liberated by YPJ fighters hugged them and burnt the black veils that ISIS forced them to wear

➡️ Macid Mihemed El-Mihemed El-Hilal joined ISIS in 2016, was part of one of their bataillons & worked later on at the Health Office

➡️ Hisen Hesen Sherif joined ISIS in 2016 & worked at the Zakat Office enforcing payment of charity

🌹 Fighters martyred in recent Turkish attacks on #Minbij

➡️ Ehmed M. Mihemed, Ebdulkerîm Y. Ubeyd, Ebdullah H. Îbrahîm, Mistefa X. Derwîş & Mistefa Ş. Ebdullah were targeted while rescuing 2 wounded children

➡️ Welat N. Mihemed was martyred in a drone strike in Northern Minbij

➡️ #Turkey continues its aggression on #Minbij

➡️ 4 fighters of the Minbij Military Council were martyred, 2 others injured

➡️ The fighters were trying to rescue 2 injured children in the al-Dandania village who were wounded in heavy artillery shelling

➡️ Additionally, a civilian was killed
in the village of Arab Hassan when a Turkish drone hit a civilian home
