Plus my back has almost recovered from last week's ludicrous moment of idiocy injury.
It occurs to me that if more of my job was actually teaching (and eating mince pies) I would love it so much more. I have a pretty high tolerance for admin and bureaucracy in general but academia is bloody drowning in it

Got a Too Good To Go bag yesterday that had 3 of them along with 3 fruit scones, two of my least favourite pastries. Can deal with the scones (it's just the sultanas that I dislike), but mince pies? Been in Ireland 12 years and have not yet managed to adapt.

My wood burner bakes are becoming more adventurous Using a lidded loaf tin for the bread protects the bread and the mince pies took advantage of the end of evening heat. Needed some bread crumbs for the nut roast so all in all very productive 😊
