Maybe it's cuz I am one of the 5 oldest in my cohort, maybe it's cuz I grew up as the oldest of 7, maybe it's my #Enneagram 2-ness. Today I noticed even post graduation I feel like one of the moms in my text group. When a younger, neurodivergent cohort member is struggling w/DOPL licensing Q's, even tho it's a very full group, it went silent. I chose to send resources & #support. I've learned it's possible to #mindfully choose when to help vs doing it reactively & annoyed no one else is. 😄💓

Interesting #mindfulnessmoment this morning. While eating my daily breakfast of yogurt, fruit, cereal and nuts, I noticed I was shoveling it in. This thought occurred to me: "Why am I shoveling?" On #mindful investigation, I perceived #stress as anxiety in my heart and a burning in my face. I then said of the stress: "This is unpleasant and uncomfortable. Eating distracts me from this. Why don't I just sit with it instead?" So I did, then ate #mindfully, and it was fine. #NamuMyohoRengeKyo
