Finally, after all these years, I am getting into the dark arts of FFT. A first attempt, triggering sounds in #supercollider and visuals in #openframeworks with #minibees, sending a downsampled version of the oF visuals to a max patch, extracting one channel from whatever is generated with the oF visuals and sending it back to SC, where it becomes the magnitudes of an FFT chain. Phew!

The sound is based on additive synthesis with slightly detuned harmonics, randomly selecting a fundamental frequency from the superpyth scale of the 22-tone tuning system.
