Coucou, l'un⋅e de vous a déjà fait une migration de #Minio vers #Garage ?

Hey #mastoadmin I'm migrating media from DigitalOcean Spaces to a B2 bucket. It's going extremely slowly, there's quite a lot of media and I'm only about 15-20% completed after 9.5 hours using 6 transfer workers in rclone (didn't want to mess up instance performance too badly).

Can #Minio do something like replicate DO->B2 or provide failover functionality so if B2 doesn't have a file it'll serve it from DO instead? Thank you for any help, I'm not super familiar with Minio.

我的 #Mastodon 站台是採用運算與儲存分離的機制， mastodon 是放在 #Vultr 的 vps，媒體檔案儲存是放在家中的 #Minio 物件儲存服務中，兩者透過 #Wireguard 連接。

但是這幾天經常會出現不通的情況，但只要家中的 Wireguard 換 port 就會通，這讓我懷疑 Wireguard 是透過 UDP 協定連接，被當作可疑的流量被 #Hinet 阻擋了。

If you've been following my recent #MinIO troubles: there's been a new development!

They have...

...decided to drop any hint of cooperation and lock down the issue.

And you know what: I'm feeling good about this. I can't drop MinIO for work, but personally, I won't touch the project with a ten-foot pole.

But here's a final reminder: if you're using encryption, make sure that you're running the latest version of MinIO's KES server. Otherwise your data could be corrupted.

If you're using #MinIO with server-side encryption backed by a KES server, there's a severe bug in #KES that causes data loss on #MinIO clusters.

If you're using an older version of KES, you should update to the latest version immediately.

Sadly, I can't say exactly which versions are affected, but according to MinIO it is fixed in the latest KES release.

I've been holding this in for over a week now, but...
interacting with the #MinIO open source project is so 🤬 frustrating.

In every GitHub issue I created, I had to fight to be taken seriously, even though I took great care to deliver as much information as possible.

This last issue here
