I remember not watching this #miniseries and spin-offs, but didn't realize this is the show #DominiqueDunne was working on when she was murdered. Odd the article doesn't mention #VanityFair's connection to that murder (via her father, Dominick, a longtime contributor to the magazine).

Reading this, I regret missing out on the original show. It was prescient then, and exponentially more so now, #QAnon be damned.

The "Stephen King miniseries or TV movie" was like a genre all to itself for a couple o decades. To me though, the holy trinity will always be IT, Salem's Lot, and The Stand (1994 version).

Not sure I'll get the opportunity this weekend, but sometime in the next few days I'm gonna revisit The Stand which can be found in good quality on YouTube.

Last night I started watching Invasion Earth, a 1998 BBC miniseries. It's currently streaming in the US on Crackle.

But I kept getting distracted because one of the senior military officers is Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan) from Downton Abbey!

Rereading one of my recent faves today - the 6 part limited #Comics series involving the #ThunderCats and #HeMan and the Masters of the Universe for a future podcast episode of Dear Watchers Ima be on!

It’s okay for a mini-series. Not great, but interesting enough. Kinda slow to start, but builds up some along the way. Some scenes are a bit graphically violent but not overtly gore. Kinda interested in reading the book. Need to remember that for King, the journey in the story can be more of the point.

Has anyone see the new #miniseries called #LastLight? It hits all the important points for me:
- dystopian setting
- end-of-days scenario
- realistic plot
- poor execution of just about every qualifier
- stars Jack from #Lost

It's a tale of ultra-radical Left our-radicalling the Right, and permanently destroying the oil industry. Cool!

There's a LOT of #greenwashing and way too much #optimism, and lots of great ideas!

I'm not even done with my current #dnd campaign (#CurseofStrahd / #Ravenloft) and I'm already itching to begin a new adventure with an inspired character concept.

Last year, I became really interested in #RobertEHoward's #AgnesDeChastillon, who intrigued me back during #Marvel's #Conan Serpent War crossover #miniseries and the subsequent, untimely canceled #DarkAgnes #comic series.

Since then, I read her original tales and felt inspired to create a DnD character to roleplay with.
