I've been reading bits of the D6 game systems and thinking about running an Urban Fantasy (basically Urban Arcana) with it. I like the Mini Six rules the most right now since it simplifies a lot of the system, but if I kind of like the Magic System presented in D6 Adventure with the complicated framework for building new spells.

I'll have to let it roll around in my head more.

Earlier today during a work meeting my colleague who've also played in my #ttrpg sessions at work gifted me with a belated birthday present: a set of translucent blood red polyhedral dice! Thanks, Farah (who's played #MiniSix, #TheLaundry, #YearZeroMini and #StarWarsFFG!)

@bradfonseca In general, I find they just slow things down vs fixed target numbers. I've seen them used in the OG #Palladium system, which is far from a good example of implementation, and there's an option in #MiniSix and #OpenD6, which are better implementations.

I still personally prefer static numbers, tho.

I will never not be in love with the character creation process of Barbarians of Lemuria. The speed & depth combo is pretty unparalleled as far as I'm concerned.

Mini Six comes close. And I used to be able to knock out a TFT character as fast. But beyond those, not much comes close on both speed and depth.
