House passes bills guaranteeing Affordable Care Act protections in Michigan

House Bills 4619–4623 include regulations on insurance providers including prohibiting denying coverage based on preexisting conditions, gender identity or sexual orientation, requiring insurers to allow dependents to stay on a parent’s health care plan until age 26 and the elimination of annual or lifetime limits on benefits.
