So, I just read "Miracleman: The Silver Age", by @neilhimself.

Issue #3 is new. The first two are essentially reprints from the end of the century, so it's been a while since I'd read them, and I'd forgotten some of the details.

Not going to offer a review here, just the standard recommendation.

@JaritzaFloresG94 Hi, Jaritza! Thanks for the boost and the follow! I love #TheSandman, too- I gave the whole series to my wife for our paper anniversary ages ago. And I've been reading @neilhimself since his first work on #Miracleman 30 years ago.

I don't know if you saw my earlier post, but I've been obsessed with Miracleman since I was a teen. The original series by #AlanMoore is one of the first comics to explore what would really happen if you gave someone superpowers.

After Moore finished the original series, #NeilGaiman wrote #MiraclemanTheGoldenAge. He planned two sequel series, but two issues into #MiraclemanTheSilverAge, the publisher folded. #ToddMcFarland bought the rights and wouldn't reprint it for over 20 years. This fall, #Gaiman finally got to work on it again.

The first new issue since 1992 comes out on 12/28 (the day before my birthday!) If you haven't read Miracleman, you have just enough time to order the series from #Amazon or #Comixology and catch up!

I posted a toot about the new  #Miracleman: The Silver Age comic, brought back from the dead after 30 years by its original author #NeilGaiman (It was his first major comic, cancelled mid-series and shelved for decades under a cloud of controversy.) My re-tweet on the #Birdsite got slapped with a warning, saying it contained "sensetive content." The "sensetive content" turned out to be Neil Gaiman's Mastodon address, @neilhimself 

Twitter stripped out Gaiman's information, as well as the content of the post after it.

The warning has since been removed, but the tweet still cuts off at the address, and now other cross-tweets have warnings. Caveat cross-tweeter!

I'm really glad Marvel is publishing the Silver Age right now. I stopped my subscription because I had to much duplicates of Moore's run, and forgot to resubscribe. Can't wait for the TPB though, this is a brilliant series for #comics long time lovers.

Okay, I take it back, there are significant differences between #AlanMoore's superhero deconstructions #Miracleman and #Watchmen, despite the similarities. But man, it's AMAZING how much better a writer Moore became in just the few short years between these two projects; check out this unreadable page from 1984, for example. I've never read any interviews with him, and I'm curious if he's ever discussed what effect working with a big place like DC had on his writing skills in the early '80s?

I mean, are we just never going to talk about the fact that #AlanMoore's #Watchmen is basically an exact ripoff of his own #Miracleman, written just a few years previous, all the way down to the apocalyptically violent climax by a superhero turned sociopath?

Oh my.
