I loved #MirrorsEdge when I first played it 10+ years ago. It felt free flowing and was a joy to play.

But having just played it again for the last hour, wow does it feel clunky by today’s standards. Navigation is tricky and the FOV is so zoomed in that I kept missing where I needed to go. Maybe I’m just getting old. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So #MirrorsEdge will not be de-listed from online stores, the EA announcement was a mistake. Other titles like #BadCompany will be "retired" though - so this still still serves as a reminder that publishers can abandon games at any time and more digital storefronts like #Nintendo
3DS or WiiU will be closed in the future. Physical copies are not always an option, collector prices have long gotten out of hands. This is understandably pushing people towards #roms and #gamepreservation🏴‍☠️🤔

This is why we should stop tying single player games to online services!

Ну ни добавить, ни убавить. «Mirror’s Edge» до сих пор одна из лучших в плане визуала и стиля игра, как «EA» в частности, так игр в целом. Я уже не говорю про чувство флоу.

Но это прям до безумия смешно, как нелепо удалять игру из продажи из-за отключения онлайн опций. Действительно, ведь без них «Mirror’s Edge» вообще не то. Мне вот интересно, сколько людей до сего дня вообще помнили, что в игре есть какой-то онлайн-функционал.

Но то, что игра так-то ещё получила поддержку обратной совместимости и улучшение для «Xbox One X», а потом ещё и «FPS Boost» на «Xbox Series X|S» делает ситуацию ещё комичной тупости.
