Nasser Beydoun was on the MIRS Monday podcast on 27 March 2023. As he contrasted himself with US Rep Elissa Slotkin, he stated that Rep Slotkin "has a lot of support from PACs. She knows all this game [and] how to raise dark money [and] regular money. She has the Jewish community behind her, so she's going to raise all this money."

Nasser Beydoun doubled and redoubled on the trope that Jewish People have access to significant amounts of money.

Elissa Slotkin is a Jewish Person.

This kind of anti-Semitism is sickening.

Recently, the chair of the Michigan GOP posted a tweet comparing gun safety laws to the Holocaust. This is widely recognised as an anti-Semitic trope: it cheapens the Holocaust and minimises the experience of the victims of the Holocaust; it relies on exaggerations and falsifications; and it contains elements of victim-blaming. In the wake of that tweet, Jewish officeholders and university administrative staff throughout Michigan were targeted in a steep increase in hate messages and threats.

This is the environment in which Nasser Beydoun raised his anti-Semitic claims that Rep Elissa Slotkin had access to significant amounts of money because she is Jewish and has the support of the Jewish community.

Whoever Nasser Beydoun is primarying against, vote for the other person. The last thing that we need is yet another bigot in a position of power in the state of Michigan.
