After hearing on the BBC #Today that there was another (and this time _really bad_) air strike on resistors to the military in Burma, I really wondered why the villagers don’t have a few anti aircraft munitions. After hearing the part about how Russia and China are supplying the military there, and the absolutely predictable “Thoughts and Prayers” from the United Nations, I _really_ wondered why the resistance there is not getting at least covert help.

It's starting to lighten up outside. When I was a young man, I spent a little time on Okinawa. A place called Camp Schawb. Our barracks was practically right on the ocean. The water was crystal blue. I didn't realize what a good opportunity that was until later in life. I could have gone fishing, snorkeling, or just gazed at the ocean. But instead, I used the time I had to run with my friends. I still created memories, not all good.

Life is about choices; we don't always make the right choices. The choices we make often narrow the choices we might have in the future. Sometimes we're if lucky a bad choice is of little consequence. Others cause the world to crash on our shoulders. In this regard luck is of great consequence.
