TEN YEARS AGO TODAY, I had to rush my mother to the hospital just hours after her third round of #chemo.

Three days later, the hospital caused a collapsed lung. A week after that, cardiac arrest left her a vegetable (where she lingered for the next 9 months before she died of a second heart attack.)

Autopsy proved SHE NEVER HAD #CANCER. Couldn't sue b/c #Texas protects incompetent dangerous doctors from lawsuits in the name of "#TortReform". 🤬 #MissYouMom

Wildlife shows also make me sad: not only is nature unforgiving, but Mom & I used to watch these shows together all the time during the last 2 years of her life. Seeing the mother cat's sacrifices & patience reminds me of our conversations. And of Mom's care for me despite all her hardships 😢#MissYouMom
