NoThinkum projects for leftover yarns are always nice and even better if they are universally useful. Fingerless mitts are fun to make and great to wear with a bit of cold. I have a bunch of Sirdar Jewelspun left over from sweaters. So I used the Blur pattern and it was fun and the mitts are nicely warm (even if they don't "match").#knitting #mitts #fingerlessmitts #stashbusting

Intentional holes: mitten edition!
The pattern for these mitts called for a normal closed thumb but since it's hardly ever below freezing here I put in a few rounds of ribbing and left them open. They're optimized for playing Pikmin Bloom on my late night dog walks and fitting in my pocket so I never forget them in the chaos of getting an excited pup out the door.

Since I knit them #2aaT I used 2 separate hanks of the same yarn but the dyelots were apparently slightly different! W doesn't mind 'cause she's sweet ^_^

I finished these "Oak Hollow" fingerless mitts in sport weight wool, on double pointed needles. Kinda like the cheery turquoise and gold color combo, though they don't really 'go' with any of my coats or sweaters much. Cute acorns and oak leaves pattern.

I am waiting for yarn to come for a sweater for granddaughter so made a pair of fingerless mitts for a neighbor who is allergic to wool. I found a cotton/acrylic sport weight in my stash and used Gila pattern by Stephanie Tallent. We don't get super cold here much so hopefully she will enjoy them. #knitting #mitts
