@HistoPol @Viss like have a more promising design as far as resistance to such traffic analysis goes. I2P however is not perfect and the small size of the network plays against it, as it makes bruteforce enumeration of its participants an option (if one somewhat expensive).

In general mixnets are the safest design for low-to-high latency networks with surveillance resistance.

The whitepaper can make for some interesting reading on that topic.

@azonenberg @lunareclipse I'd probably dedicate 1Gbps slices to various & meshnets.

Promoting the networks through my contributions.

@SocialistStan @lauren @Shachihoko @HistoPol @eff @team Even if they try to ban instances from doing that, relays work and there's no reason instances can't be moved to , or other &

You could also add full support to relays including

@shoq Or at least, any outside of .

I've been skeptical about the 's long-term prospects for a while now.

@qurlyjoe I find that most fields tend to be fractally complicated, it only becomes obvious on looking closer.

, and (the term became popular with tourist grifters lately too, but ignore those fools) are very much on the anonymity & privacy end of that with considerable tradeoffs in achieving those goals.

@freemin7 @ceresbzns @dalias @matthew_d_green Yeah, that's currently one of the most promising ones.

like are essentially the only way to mitigate timing analysis in low-latency networks. There are a lot of pending and improvements on that side for I2P as well.

I do have to wonder just how performs on high-latency though.

@jeffcliff It's been pretty clear to me that the web as it exists will not be an option in Canada for that much longer as our authorities are incapable of not giving in to their spy fetish.

Most and we have are not really ready to take up the slack either as they generally don't have a design that accounts for global observers.

@alcinnz is used in some online protocols like chvote2.gitlab.io/
or hal.inria.fr/hal-02066930/ whose main implementation is in
belenios.org/
but one can found some part reimplemented by others:
- github.com/yvesago/borvo
- and my own hackage.haskell.org/package/hj

Note however that to enable voting methods based upon comparisons (instead of counting), is now experimenting with :
belenios.org/mixnet.html
