I'm Cuppy/Tami. I used to blog about #MMOs and I used to have time to play MMOs, but now I mostly just take care of two kiddos and work as a Sr. Producer @ Bungie doing UI/UX stuff on an unannounced game.

Now that some helpful people have made me reconsider playing #WorldOfWarcraft, I wondered if I could even still login into my Blizzard account since I no longer had access to the email account, and had it hooked up to a long defunct authenticator. SMS to the rescue!

Then I was curious as to when I made the account. While that data's not available, you can at least see the date of your first transaction.

Seems I bought my first sub in 2014. I feel ancient. :flushedblob:

Time will tell, of course, but I get a vibe that other #MMOs have the problem of players without a heavy investment in the reward/achievement ladders in those games finding it easy to wander away when they reach a difficulty hump or wall, but I reckon #ESO has so much storyline and "fluff" content that those humps are felt less urgently or often by such players. I feel that for a large population of the game's users, ESO is Skyrim 2 through 10 and counting.

Been seeing a lot of commentary on the youtubes from content creators declaring the death of #ElderScrollsOnline due to their displeasure with combat changes (or non-changes), lack of challenging content, etc. but if I'm honest I'm not sure #ESO depends as much as other #MMOs on having a truly robust endgame community because of how much time and money the people who just want to faff around in "multiplayer Skyrim" spend.

Looks like the Sparks of Life requirement in #worldofwarcraft was reduced from 200 a week to 100 a week.
