Maybe I don't have that much gaming experience, limited mostly to consoles, but my take so far is:

Going into G-Rank in Monster Hunter games is the *harshest* difficulty spike I've experienced since playing Hard Mode in the Mega Man Zero games (in particular MMZ2).
