#MobaXTerm auf Windows hat Agent forwarding im default aktiviert! Check your config!

MobaXTerm fares somewhat better, getting REP of non-BMP characters right.

But conversely it seems unable to comprehend unscii-16, and insists upon unscii font glyphs being only 8 lines high, resulting in massive gutters between rows.

And only unscii has the glyphs for MouseText. They're not in Cascadia Mono, for example.

I changed the font in #MobaXterm from MobaTerm to #Unscii on a whim, today.

On the positive side, the distinction amongst boldface, normal, and faint is somewhat clearer with Unscii. Although neither is very good with faint and reverse video, which makes light mode problematic.

On the negative side, Unscii isn't using the whole of the available space, which stops block graphics from working. Something somewhere, from the placement of the strikethroughs, doesn't like Unscii's aspect ratio.

Anyone else play with and enjoy MobaXterm? I've used their stuff for so many years when on a Windows box. I was using the free one for a while, and ended up buying it because I enjoyed it so much.

@nixCraft Beware of not using "-A" (ForwardAgent yes) when doing this because other users with #root privileges on the hosts "between" can hijack your personal ssh-session by using ssh-socket in /tmp/ssh-* ⚠️
We encourage our users not to use ssh-forwarding at all for their security. Some #ssh clients (like #MobaXTerm on Windows) have ssh-forwarding enabled by default!

@AstraKernel That's my favorite tool evar. I used to be a #Splunk admin and #MobaXterm is a requirement. It's the MultiExec feature that allows me to bring up all my Splunk servers at once. Take everything down at once, patch as once, and bring everything up at once. It's so awesome.

A terminal for every occasion (RDP, SSH, SFTP, Powershell, WSL, etc), all in one package. The Pro version is worth the $69 (free version available, limited number of connections). Sadly not cross platform though.
