My mobile data stopped working after an Android update. 😱

Of course I didn't realise until I needed it because I rarely use this, having WiFi instead. 🤷‍♂️

Of course the web is full of how-to fix this help, including "switch it off and on again". 🤦‍♂️

What worked was searching my carrier (#giffgaff) to find the correct APN settings and setting up a new Access Point Name with those settings. Phew, I have #MobileData again! 🥳

So far tried EE and Three, both have awful (broken) billing systems. And Three's signal is utter dreck.

Prefer to do a PAYG data SIM before I sign up to anything to check reachability, competence, etc.

Sit Rep: Yet again today, and in yet another scenario and location, I try to do something on o2 and it doesn't work as the network sits there not responding. Strong 4G signal. Switch to 3, very weak 5G signal. Guess which one is working just fine... 1 'bar' as people say and I'm getting many megabits while o2 is in the usual "data, what data?" mode.

No idea why anyone uses o2. Tragically bad.
